Collaborate
Collaboration built on respect, clarity, and shared purpose
The Ashbourne Project exists to support people navigating cancer — but it is strengthened through thoughtful collaboration with clinicians, organisations, advocates, and partners who share a commitment to better care.
TAP is not here to replace, compete with, or disrupt existing cancer services.
It exists to complement the system — translating lived experience and clinical insight into clarity, confidence, and better engagement for patients and families.
Who collaboration is for
Collaboration with TAP may be appropriate for:
Clinicians and healthcare professionals
seeking to share insight, explain complex care pathways, or contribute to patient understanding.
Cancer organisations and charities
aligned with improving access, equity, and patient experience without duplication of services.
Advocates and lived-experience voices
who bring depth, honesty, and care to the conversation.
Industry and corporate partners
who wish to support cancer care in ways that are ethical, transparent, and genuinely patient-centred.
How collaboration works
TAP collaborates through:
Storytelling and interviews
capturing lived experience and expert perspectives in a way that is accessible and human.
Curated resources and education
helping people ask better questions, understand their options, and feel less alone.
Advocacy and system translation
highlighting gaps, patterns, and opportunities without blame or sensationalism.
The goal is always the same:
to support people navigating cancer with clarity, dignity, and confidence.
Our Collaboration Code
To protect trust, integrity, and alignment, all collaborations with The Ashbourne Project are guided by the following principles:
TAP is independent and patient-led
TAP does not provide medical advice or replace clinical care
TAP does not duplicate existing services
TAP collaborates with respect for Australia’s existing cancer care ecosystem
TAP values evidence, transparency, and lived experience equally
TAP prioritises patient wellbeing over visibility, promotion, or profit
Collaboration is welcomed when it strengthens care, understanding, and trust — not when it distracts from them.
